Storyboard Art
Every April, the Asian Pacific American Coalition (APAC) hosts one of their biggest events at UCF in celebration of Asian Pacific American History Month. As creative director of APAC, I was tasked with coming up with the theme, along with executing it for over 300+ people.
The theme of All Purpose Flower is a play on All Purpose Flour, an ingredient that takes different elements of a recipie and unifies them for a more cohesive whole. Taking this concept, I wanted to use the idea of the All Purpose Flower as a symbol of bringing people of different backgrounds and perspectives together. Despite our differences, we can still coexist and be united.

Style Frames
Production began in December, which left a 4 month timeline to complete the short film from start to finish.
Style frames were made alongside the script to plan key shots and locations, which gave the rest of the crew an idea of the visual language I was going for.
Production
storyboard & planning
Given the 4 month timeline, efficiency was key.
Outlining the necessary props and locations that would be required to complete shooting allowed us to maximize footage and coverage within minimal time constraints.
There are a total of 20 scenes (including a fight scene) spanning 8 locations, and over 15+ props.
Shooting took a total of 6 days, and the final edit (including vfx and color grade) would take an overall 14 days.
